Feeling dizzy?
Feeling dizzy after a meal is a common occurrence with most people now a days. But being such a regular thing, it is certainly not taken as a symptom leading to anything serious. However, you might be quite surprised by the fact that dizziness after eating can happen due to myriad reasons, some of which might be an indication of a serious complication in your body’s system. Well, I don’t plan to scare you but in present day pressures, when we easily ignore our health, taking care of little issues like these might save us from larger calamities. So take a look at some reasons that lead to dizziness after eating.
On a normal basis, one might feel dizzy because of some particular food item present in a meal. There are some food products people often get allergic to. So if any sort of dizziness is experienced after eating a particular food item, one must become extra cautious the next time, they consume it. Improperly cooked food can also be one of its causes. Chewing food hastily without proper ingestion can make it difficult for the digestive tract to digest the food. This often causes dizziness. Pregnant ladies might frequently feel dizzy as well. However, if dizziness is experienced for a prolonged period of time, something serious might be in the offing. Let’s take a look:
Thyroid Gland disorders:
Thyroid disorders may also cause dizziness after eating. Some common among them include inflammation of thyroid known as thyroiditis and under activity of thyroid called, hypothyroidism. You might also feel exhausted after meals when suffering from these.
Renal Disorders:
People suffering from kidney diseases might experience dizziness after eating as well. The condition might worsen if too oily or salty food is taken.
Heart Disorders:
If you are a heart patient, there are chances that your heart may not be able to send adequate amount of blood to your stomach and intestine for proper digestion. Due to this, a part of oily food may be left unprocessed. This in turn might render of dizziness andnausea after eating.
Medicines:
Some medicines like diuretics, antihistamines, muscle relaxants and even the ones taken for blood pressure control can cause dizziness after eating.
